Today, we’re breaking down 3 powerful communication cues you can teach your players to instantly elevate their team play in any 3on3 setting.

🔑 Cue #1: “Help Left” / “Help Right”

Teach defenders to clearly call out their help position. Not just “help!”—but where they’re helping from. It builds confidence in teammates and improves defensive awareness.

🔁 Cue #2: “One More!”

This cue promotes unselfish play and quick ball movement. It's a simple verbal green light for an extra pass, often leading to wide-open shots and smarter possessions.

🧱 Cue #3: “I Got Ball!”

A staple of man-to-man defense. Every possession, every time. It eliminates confusion, ensures accountability, and keeps all three defenders locked in.
