What’s up Nation!
Most young players want to work on offense.
They want the handle.
They want the jumper.
They want the moves that look good in a workout clip.
But if we are being honest, defense is where a lot of players get exposed.
Not because they are bad athletes. Not because they do not care. But because most players are used to hiding inside 5on5.
In 5on5, a player can get beat and hope help is there. They can lose focus off the ball and maybe nobody notices. They can stand in the corner, guard the least aggressive player, and survive the game.
In 3on3, there is nowhere to hide.
That is why 3on3 is one of the best teaching tools for building better defenders.
