Some players drive because they see an advantage.
Other players drive because they feel like they are supposed to.
That second group is where possessions usually fall apart.
They put their head down, take two hard dribbles, and hope something opens up. If the lane closes, they are stuck. If help comes, the pass is late. If nobody helps, they still may not know how they want to finish.
The problem is not aggression. The problem is driving with no plan.
