Bad spacing does more than mess up your offense.

It slows down player development.

That might sound simple, but it matters.

When players are constantly crowded, they do not get a real chance to read the game. They do not learn how to attack space. They do not learn how to create passing angles. They do not learn how to make decisions based on what the defense is actually doing.

They just learn how to survive in traffic.

And that is not the same as development.
