One of the toughest parts of coaching, whether it’s youth, high school, or 3on3, is knowing when to step in and when to step back.

Too many coaches fall into the trap of over-teaching. Every second of practice gets filled with instructions, corrections, or “do this, not that.”

But here’s the thing: players don’t always learn best through constant instruction. They learn by doing, experimenting, and sometimes failing.
